Can you tell me if the Rubber Bumpers on the a7230XD are removable by the end user?

If the bumpers are removable can you provide any specific information about what impact removing them have on the drop specification for this device?

What do the rubber bumpers weigh?

Yes, the rubber bumpers are removable by the end user.

The damage due to impact without the bumpers varies depending upon how the unit impacts the ground when dropped. I  am pretty sure the MIL-STD-810G tests were done with the bumpers installed. As to specific data regarding endurance reduction without the bumpers, I'll have to check with our engineers and get back to you.

The bumpers weigh a few ounces and don't make a noticeable difference to the feel of the system when in use.
